Vehicle and season
Very Aggressive Rocket was a 131-inch, 5.5-inch-diameter vehicle built from fiberglass-wrapped Blue Tube. It targeted flight beyond Mach 1.1 on an N-class motor.
The vehicle suffered a CATO caused by a hairline crack in the motor casing. The season still produced valuable structural and flight-systems work.
Mission system: Load-cell and RCS experiments
A load-cell experiment measured structural forces during flight, while a cold-gas reaction-control system explored active attitude control.
